TRADITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

The process of Industrialization in Pakistan transformed it from agricultural society into the one based on manufacturing of goods and services. In order to meet the demand of skilled workers, National Training Bureau (NTB) was established as an apex body at Islamabad under Ministry of Labour & Manpower, to develop & promote Vocational Training System in Pakistan. The most significant achievements of NTB were development of “National Occupational Skill Standards” and “Training Syllabi” for Vocational Training System.

Traditional vocational training system was based on trade specific curriculum, developed by NTB and this traditional system is still in practice at training institutes all over Pakistan. Trade Testing Board Punjab conducts “Final Trade Test” of following Traditional Qualifications:-

In order to improve the quality of training “Monthly Assessment System” has been introduced in Trade Testing Board. Monitoring Section continuously monitor the learning progress of trainees, on monthly basis.

In order to become eligible for Final Trade Test the trainee must have
  • 80% attendance at Institutes.
  • Declared pass in all Monthly Tests.
